Anyone using a MicoKontrol with Cubase SE or Ableton Live 4 ?

I've recently purchased a microkontrol but am having trouble with getting the controller set up correctly with my applications. I can't even get it to send messages to my powerbook and to make a sound come out of a plugin.

I've read the manual, but it seems like its in another language.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
