I dont need a soundcard for a mic or anything, just to have a quality sound in my DAW but still I was thinking about Scarlett2i2 cause Ive heard a lot of good stuff about it and for headphones KRK KNS 6400 cause theyre on of the best headphones for mixing.
    What do you think?

Scarlett 2i2 is a really good sound card and you get two Focusrite preamps with it so if you ever need to plug in a microphone in the future you won't have to spend more money on a new sound card. If you know for a fact that you won't be needing inputs then I would recommend the Native Instruments Traktor Audio 2. It's $50 less and sounds great. I have the original version (Audio 2 DJ) for a back up and I love it.

For headphones I use a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50s and a pair of Sony MDR-7506's and like them both. I'd do some research before buying the KRK headphones because I've personally read some mixed reviews about them. I'd probably go with either Shure, Sennheiser, or jump to the ATH-M50s. If you have the money you can also get the Beyerdynamic DT 770 which are awesome. Now you don't really want to mix mainly on headphones so be sure you're A/Bing your tracks on actual monitors/speakers. Although it's not completely impossible to mix on headphones, it's not recommended.

But it all comes down to getting used to what you have. Skrillex produces and mixes his tracks on headphones because he's always on the road, but he knows what he's doing so that works for him.

It works well if you're using Cubase. I've heard that is causes session problems when working with Pro Tools. I'm not sure about its compatibility with Logic, other editing platforms.

    What are you using?
