Just transferring sounds, auto chop, folders for sounds, and if important time stretch is important are the pros. The 2000xl is a classic and if ur just looking to use it as a drum machine and sequencer then its worth buying it. Sampling on the older models are a pain and can sure limit your creative process. If ur planning on making sampled beats id go with the software approach or wait for the new mpc studio which in my opinion will be better than maschine.. But a real mpc does have a surreal feel and a midi controller or software cant duplicate the enjoyment of a real classic at your finger tips. I have maschine and a mpc 3000 and there.both fr a
