Building a new studio...What Do I need?

i know i need some nice headphones and speakers? what are the other main things i need for mixing?

this is a very tricky question to answer... are you going to be producing in your studio, or recording? or both?

If you're just mixing... you'd want to focus mostly on your acoustic environment. This is the single most important thing to focus on... don't overlook it.

Lastly... you'll want to consider what D/A conversion you're using. It does make a difference in what you hear out of your speakers.... a big & noticable difference in some cases.
