    Akai mpd26

    I was just givin the mpd26. All i know is that its a controller. Can i use it by downloading software and hooking it up to my computer or do i need to buy a mpc? Whats the best way to get the most out of my mpd26

    yea its just a controller, you need a DAW with it. Like reason or FL.

    You need a software program.(Flstudio,reason,ableton..etc..) Find one you are comfortable with and you can use your MPD to play notes, which to me is pretty odd but you can still come up with something. But I use my MPD26 for drums/sampling. The thing is, I really could just use the keyboard I am typing on right now to drum/sample, but the I like the feel of the pads.
