Working Output Levels for Live Set (Keyboards, MainStage)

Hey everyone!

I'm a keyboarder and usually use hardware keys, always refused to use a computer, cause it's just easier to hook up and command spontaneously with changing sounds/ FX etc.

Recently I played a gig with MainStage and software for the first time and it was great, I had a problem though.
Even though i tried to level out volume of the instruments evenly at home, on the stage certain sounds just exploded on the venues Speakers.

Do you guys have any tips on how to tame the output signal better to get a more evenly level, so I don't aggravate future technicians? :D should I use a compressor on my main out? Limiter? Thanks!

Thanks for your help!
