I like Sylenth or Massive for trap stuff personally, but as stated above with a little knowledge and a capable VST, you can always make the sounds you're looking for.

I recommend the komplete 10 bundle. You get loads of stuff in it. In Komplete, you get massive which is great for pads and Basses. You also get orchestral plugins, drum samplers and a heap of other stuff.
