using guitar rig as an amp

hello id like to invest ina great vst and guitar rig looks awsome, my space is pretty limited and i dont really have room for another amp and i need one, im thinking of giving guitar rig a try

can i use this as standalone without using a DAW and basically plug my guitar into my Line6 UX2 and play away?

id like to start coming up with my own tones etc, so would i also be able to save my powm presets etc?

Yeah, there's a standalone app for it as well as the plugin versions. And naturally you can save your settings/presets as well.
