how to get downloaded vst to work in cubase

so recently I downloaded some free vsts and was wondering how I get them in to cubase 7.5, Ive read up about it and it says drag the files into steinbergs vst files, however I do not have this the only file I have is vst presets? Does anybody know how to do this?

Have you installed those vsts to any folder yet?

You should just point Cubase to the location of the folder where you have all your vsts installed.

You can choose the path under "devices" - > "plugin information" - > "vst plugins" and then select the "vst 2.X paths" and choose the location(s) you've installed them in.
