VST Host for 64 Bit Mac

You can if you use a midi keyboard/drum pad and just record your desktop with audacity.
Wouldn't particularly recommend, Audacity didn't seem that great to me, it's a bit limited.

If you are looking at the cheap end of the spectrum I'd recommend the unlimited free trial of REAPER, which doesn't need any extra bells or whistles to host vsts, and runs on 64 bit macs.

I reckon some of the big name DAWs would have a version for 64 bit mac- look up the above list.
 
You need some Vsts to get started...

There are some good paid ones, use the search function on this forum, loads of other people have asked.

Also some good free ones, again use the search.
