Using reason as a sound module (without rewire)

Im looking to use reason as a sound module (a la motif rack etc.) and i want to run it as a sound moudule as it is on a separate laptop what do i need to scheive that

An audio interface for Reason's output (and correspondingly the same on your host machine for input) and a MIDI interface to trigger stuff in Reason. Alternatively, you could look into the various audio-over-(W)LAN solutions, but not sure how nicely any of those play realtime (regarding latency).
