Suggestion for power synth?

Hello,
I want to produce and compose music in the style of Depeche Mode & Tears For Fears.
What I need is a powerful vst with great library of useful sounds.
I've already tried omnisphere but it mostly contains patches suitable for film scoring.
Also tried Nexus but didn't like the sound at all.

What DAW are you on?
Those are 80s bands- so you don't actually need a particularly feature packed synth as a lot of synth sounds were simpler in that decade.

I'm going to give you the same advice I give to everyone: learn a little sound design using your stock synths first. There are a lot of presets out there, but it gets very expensive to just buy more and more presets until you happen to find the ones you like.

Omnisphere is definitely capable of making those sorts of sounds if you know how to use it. Nexus probably isn't, as it's set up purely for presets, but if you have Omnisphere that ought be be able to make 90% of all synth sounds.
