Safely/Properly back up Massive Patches. Which folder to copy?

what exactly do I need to back up? Just making sure. Im assuming it would only be the sounds folder?


My folder path goes


Documents>Native instruments>Massive>Sounds>Then inside here I have individual presets I've made along with other folders holding presets I've downloaded. But basically everything is in that Sounds folder.


Do I only need to back up the sounds folder? Thats what would make sense to me, but I just want to be sure. There have been cases I've ran into where subfolders need the home folder to function, so unless this is one of them I should be ok just backing up the sounds folder right? I dont need to back up the massive folder as a whole? Just simply copy the sounds folder to my drive?

All the files in the sounds folder are .nmsw

umm - registry key check would be advisable

open regedit (Start->run-> regedit)

ctrl-F (find)

massive as the search term

note anything that has a key suggesting a file path

F3 to continue searching the rest of the registry hives

once done then you can work out which method you should follow
