Record Sequence in FL Studio

How do you make the record sequence longer in the piano roll when you record? For example, when I am recording notes off my MIDI in the piano roll it only limits me to the 2nd step (number 2 at the top) and then loops back over again. How do you record longer?

Change the number of bars in the pattern with the number slider thing in the top left of the channel window or in the piano roll select the length you want to record at the top where the measure numbers are withthe selection tool.
