Personal opinion here:
Maschine is good at:
Swinging a beat. (particularly like the swing)
Banging out a beat.
Finding a good sample.
Building a new kit.
Live mutes and solos.
Glitching and general sample madness.
Auditioning sounds.
Not sure:
Effects (As an FX plugin, pre-mapped knobs a benefit?)
Maschine is terrible at:
Editing piano rolls (note lengths, velocities, position, etc - I prefer my DAW.)
Editing in general.
Arranging a song.
Mixing.
IMO, all recording should be done dry and sent to DAW for further work.
I want to know about your workflow and why it works for you! Do you:
1) Export as MIDI or audio?
2) Route into tracks or drag and drop?
3) Separate instance or in the DAW?
Any good insights will help.
