MPC REN + APOLLO QUAD + PRO TOOLS Help!

Mpc ren + Pro tools 10

Is it possible to sequence an external keyboard using midi (roland jp8000) into the Ren in plugin mode (which means as a plugin in pro tools). It currently only allows through DAW & that's without sequencing external into the Ren. I can only achieve the sequencing in standalone but I need to be able to sequence my external keyboard and instruments all in pro tools.
