Max for live file location...? OSX

Hey guys, I'm having trouble getting Max for Live to work on my macbook...
When I open up Live, the "Max for Live" section is empty... Actually it says "The folder has been deleted, download Max from ableton.com".
But I've installed Max several times, but still no luck.
I may have done something while moving some stuff around to my external hard drive...
Is there anyone who can help me out with what may be going on here?

The Max stuff is all under /applications/Max x.x/

...but if it doesn't work for some reason, you might try this: How to perform a fresh reinstallation of Max
