is the Maschine studio targeted towards a certain genre of music?

I'd think anyone making music that was once done with a drum machine/sampler/sequencer(MPC, ASR, Roland Groovebox, SP12, Alesis/boss/korg drum units, ect) could now use Maschine. It even has a decent range of instruments included, expansion packs, and can load vsts. It's just as capable as any DAW for "beatmaking'. Not sure how it handles recording vocals and outside the box instruments though.
 
I dont think so. I've seen hip hop guys use it, edm guys use it, and even heard Trent Reznor reference using it.
