Maschine 1.8 and Logic Pro 9 Drag and Drop question

[FONT=arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif]Forgive me if this has been asked already and if I'm in the wrong section but i have a fairly simple question. Do you have to have Maschine running as a plug-in in Logic 9 in order to drag and drop Midi from Maschine into Logic Pro 9? Is there a way to drag and drop Midi from Maschine into Logic 9 in standalone mode and not have to run Maschine as a plug-in? Thanks in advance.[/FONT]

If logic supports drag and drop from the desktop, and the standalone version of Maschine has that feature which I suspect it does, then yes it should work.

If you got both of these, why don't you just try it?

I wouldn't do that unless your trying to drop a whole project in there trying to get it to sync up may be a problem you could always just export the midi file
