Lots of Confusion

I am making some solid beats now and learning a ton on FL... I just learned how to get a bit of mastering done using maximus and the fruity limiter, which should be good enough for now... I also learned how to add NY compression to the drums in a warbeats tut.. I want to know, is it okay to do the NY compression and then master using the limiter and maximus? Or would I be better off leaving the NY compression alone because it could interfere with the mastering... Would just using Maximus and the limiter be enough to start selling my beats because people are asking me for them...
 
Just wanted to make sure there weren't any frequencies getting lost doing it a certain way.. thanks for clearing it up
