Kickstart is a simple tool that i use alot. It basically just sidecains a 1/8 1/4 1/2 or full bar beat. really nice and has easy adjustments. I think you can get the demo and the real one is like $10
 
Great program for someone who is stuck on Cubase LE Elements and can't sidechain stuff. Yes this version of Cubase can't sidechain. Kickstart comes into hand there.
 
Volume shapper is the better version of this made by the same people. I use it all the time. I prefer to use an envelope shaper like these instead of sidechaining compression. With sidechain compression no matter how you adjust the release time, you are tied to the release slope of that particular compressor, not the case with Volume Shaper. Vengeance make a good one too.

It's also much easier to remove the annoying click you might get due to the compressor not acting ahead of time.
