"Illegally" downloading Logic Pro X (Cons?)

First, I'm absolutely not cheering for illegal downloading,it should be condemned.
However out of curiosity, are there any cons (lack of support from Apple/ No notifications when updates are available/ Certain plug ins not available etc etc) if you don't buy an official copy of Logic through Apple?
 
Just the lack of support, I bought a copy off ebay which turned out to be an illegal copy and I didn't find out until Logic Pro X came out and I had to buy it again from the App Store.

Yes, the only real difference between the 2 was that the legal one shows up in my purchase history and the illegal one doesn't, everything within the program itself is exactly the same.
