I cant hear my recording in Cubase

I just got a new computer (toshibia i5 with 8 gigs of RAM) and a new KOMPLETE audio 6 digital audio converter. Running windows 8 if that matters. I am completely new to this and have no idea what Im doing except for videos I have watched on you tube. However, I did manage to record a acoustic guitar track in Cubase. Problem is when I play it back I hear nothing. I don't have studio monitors yet, but I assumed I could hear it played through my computer speakers. I also tried to listen to my track through headphones plugged into my KOMPLETE 6 headphone jack and still nothing. Any ideas?

1) make sure that you have setup your audio interface as the default sound source for audio.

2) make sure that you have mapped your input and output busses inside of cubase to specific busses in the audio interface - rtfm for more on how to do that
