Help!!---software to edit voice clips----

Hi all :)

I'm fairly new around here and fairly new to Producing, I've got some voice clips in wav format that i'd like to edit, add some effects etc, im looking for some standalone software thts kinda like the vocoder in FL Studio but something standalone that i can load pre-recorded audio files into, edit, then save. Just wondering what software you guys use for this and if anyone has any reccomendations? any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Maybe try the Reaper. It not so expensive ($60 I think) and you can demo it for 60 days. I don't know if has a "Vocoder" type of plugin though.
 
audacity and reaper (remember that reaper has a never ending demo - they just prefer that you buy a $60 license after 60 days)
