Good Vsts

dsk got some pretty good free ones for instruments, if you are willing to pay go with kontakt, its a bit pricey but definitely worth it.

FL studio stock plugins are very good tbh- a bit challenging to work with for a beginner but can make pretty much any synth sound when combined with FX plugs

When it comes to sound mangling I prefer Modular digitalis [emulations], but if somebody says fl studio isn't capable of what studio one/reason/reaper etc aren't just don't go there ;/

I'm a huge fan of Serum. HUGE LEADS, BASSES, ETC. And the ability to create your own presets is limitless. So much to layer in it and the controls and automation features are on point when you sync it up in your DAW.
