Hello, I just bought Alienware R2 17, year 2015,
SPECS: 16GB ram
min 2,5ghz, (up to 3,7 when boosted)
Graphic card Geforce GTX 980 4gb (Touchscreen display)

Additional sound card M-Audio fast track c400

Pretty good specs but i still have terrible lag, whats the problem?
*
what i have already done:
* raised buffer size
* done those macros (disabled unused plugins and audio files)
* using 64bit fl studio

Raising the buffer size increases latency. You should lower it to the smallest possible value where it still works solidly without popping or crackling. Those computer specs aren't an issue. I'm wondering how you ended up with the C400 though, seeing it's already been discontinued a few years ago - I'm not sure if there are drivers for Win10 at all, for example.

some daws asio halve by half when ethernet's disabled or unplugged which I find odd.
s1 is an example.maybe cubase though only used that like slicex so not sure.

I wonder if ya usin asio gedas.
