Favorite software instruments of hit producers like Max Martin & Laleh?

Hi! Not really sure if this is the right place to ask this since this is my first post but however,
I was just about to buy Output's Exhale (a modern vocal engine, as they like to call it) but before I do I wanted to check with all of you guys what you think is a good vst to buy for about $250 to produce pop hits, such as Max Martin & Laleh. I know Omnisphere is very popular but is there some others I should consider before spending $240 on Exhale? Let me know your thoughts about it, but remember pop hit making is the focus! :)
 
I love EXHALE, however IMO its great for adding those extra touches of harmony with voice chops etc. If you want a good VST, I would always recommend Nexus to start over anything. If you do not own Nexus, its a must. Also SERUM is very very good
