This is my first post, and i am pretty new to all this song composing stuff, so please be kind to me, i know i am a noob.

So, i wanted to create this specific kind of sound to use in a song i am in process to compose, i have the guitar and piano section in place, just need a little help identifying name of this effect and how to recreate it, with the help of VST.

So, at the very beginning of both the songs there is a sound, that last about only few seconds, don't know how to define it, it rises and rises until it fades into guitar strings. Please help me. I really need to know this.

P.S. I know what i said isn't very descriptive, but that's all i got.

Try to use a synth with a string sound and a long attack, and you can also use volume and filter automations to create the rise

As said above.
Or you can try playing string on a guitar with no volume, then slowly volume guitar up with a knob. But yeah, result will be better using longer attack/volume rise on a sample.
Hope you will get the point now ;)

you could use a long attack or automation clips to create the sound but ive a feeling it could have been done after the song was mixed down in an audio editor using an audio clip style fade for example. much easier way of doing it i think
