Too fruity?

If I have fruityloops and fruitytracks do I really have everything I need to make music?

What about:
a sound recorder for recording samples
sound editor for cutting up samples
fx for putting effects onto the samples

Can floops do all the above?

If not, can you recommend a good sound editor/recorder etc etc

Sound Forge is very expensive ($400)!

I think I'll get the following:

FruityLoops Full $99
FruityTracks $35
EZ Editor $24

That should give me everything I need, right? I'm only going to use my own samples but may need a soft synth plugin.

start off with some free plugins and soft synths first. They will give you an idea of how the different types of synthesis work.

just got to The Plugin List and search for the free ones.

Yeah, Fruityloops, Sound Forge (or another wave editor), some effects, plugs and mastering tools is all ya need.

Oh and of course, lots of good samples (the ones that come with FL are awful)!
