This is my situation. I have a 12 core Mac Pro and Maschine I'm using with Logic Pro. I'm strongly considering a change to Studio One Pro for two main reasons.
1. It's got bult in Melodyne Pitch corrections
2. It MAY handle my multicore issue better
Logic does a real good job of handling multi core processes as long as you load a lot of instances of stuff. But, when you load one instance of, let's say Maschine in multitimbral mode, it forces Logic to load everything on one core. Whether Maschine has multi core support or not is not as much of an issue as not being able to manually assign tracks to cores or something like that. Has anyone used both the above mentioned DAWs and found one to work better with Maschine and multicore Systems. If not, I may have to look and see what PT 10 has to offer. If I remember right, there's a way of assigning cores to certain tracks or something.
