Simple Question about Logic Pro 9

So I saved up my money for quite awhile and now I am ready to purchase Logic Pro 9. But just to make sure I understand, I don't HAVE to have a midi keyboard/controller in order to make beats at first, correct? I am going to purchase both of those down the line after I save up some more, but for now I just want tot make sure I'm okay.

No you don't need a midi controller. You can input the notes/events in any of the midi editors using any of the included instruments. You can use ultrabeat. You can use the included loops. And you can use the capslock keyboard to play the stuff in using the computer keyboard.
