Reason - Midi Timing Problems

I use Win2k with SBlive and i get 2ms latency with Kx drivers. However when i record midi in reason, it always seems to put the notes i play almost a beat too early! is this reason trying to compensate for bad latency which doesn't exist? Does anyone else have this problem?

quite possible. when you're recording MIDI in, it puts more strain on your computer than just playing a song or playing the instruments through MIDI. i think it has more to do with your MIDI interface than with your sound card if the problem is only when recording MIDI...
