Reason 6 save and optimize

What does save and optimize do? Should I apply it to my songs?

save and optimize takes your tracks including any audio and organises so that the audio clips are not fragmented

Worth it if you think the file size is starting to get a bit on the large side, as it will lose any working clips in the scratch area of the file on disk......

So does it mess with the sound quality of my song? Does it get better or worse?

Doesn't mess with audio quality, as the files are saved in native 16 or 24 bit wav Extended Linear PCM or manipulated in 32 bit float or 64 bit float in the application....
