I know the different version requires different interfaces.. but lets say i buy m-powered, will i have to have an m-audio interface connected if i want to run a pt sessions? Or can i run sessions without an interface but if i connect one, it has to m-audio?
 
You have to have an M-Audio interface approved to work with M-Powered. Which is all of them as of now.
 
yeah but i have to have it connected everytime i work with PT? like if im on a plane or somewhere where i dont need to connect speakers or whatever.....like; can i buy the program and the interface later and still have PT running without the interface?
 
ok thanks. nice to know...but daam its kind of annoying..ive been wanting to get into pro tools, especially the 8th version looks nice, but i keep turning away cus of these restrictions..
