ok, ok, ok.. i did that to get your attention.

anyhoo - i have a serious problem and i think you might be able to help me out.

i am looking for software to do the following mission for me:
to make songs based on samples, or uploaded audio.

i use no instruments or midi capabilities.

i have windows xp and a rather powerful PC.

ok...

i have cool edit pro but there is no real sequencer in it. problem.

i have fruity loops but it doesn't sample so easily like cool edit. it seems to be more based on what it already has, i.e. synth sounds. problem.

i had sound forge.. but found the multi-tracking very limiting. problem.

so what can i get that is good? i am sooo tired of paying for and downloading for new equipment that just does not provide.

O, i also had sonar but it really only functions with hardware. i am just using samples.

anyway, any suggestions for software or how i can make this software work for me please opine!

thanx

i double posted because i knew i would most likely get dismal returns, so i wanted to approach the reality of scarcity with some rationality. now you can delete this thread if your power so over takes you.

i got some help from a few kind souls in here. i appreciate it.

sounds like you need to check out Sonic Foundry's Acid, or, what I think would be a better choice, Ableton's Live.
