MuLab and MUX Modular 6.1 released

MuTools has released MuLab and MUX Modular 6.1.

What's new:

  • New synth module: "Multiform Oscillator". Supports creating, importing and using wave tables in a high-quality and modular way. See this intro video: youtube.com/watch?v=jTXWG8mTbR8
  • Audio Files and Samples: New context functions "Add Recurring Markers" and "Delete Selected Markers".
  • New preference "Middle C Index" allows you to set the middle C to C3 or C4 or C5. Default is C4.
  • Docked part editors that auto-follow the focused track.
  • New MuSampla device version 2.
  • MultiSampla device now has 4 stereo outputs so you can route specific zones to a separate output.
  • Multi-sample editor: Zone editor now integrated as a docked sub-editor.
  • Added support for saving/reloading the sample markers near the source sample file.
  • Improved MuDrum device.
  • Modular Feedback Delay now has a "Invert Feedback" switch.
  • Rack slots and module buttons now include a process on/off switch.
  • Added support for note key names e.g. for when a target module defines C3 as "Kick", D3 as "Snare" etc.
  • New "Focus Previous Rack" and "Focus Next Rack" shortcut functions.
  • Improved importing of arbitrary sized waveforms.
  • Improved VST engine.
  • Improved look and feel.
  • Improved factory library.
  • Many more improvements which all together make a big difference.

I think MuLab and Reaper are quite different tools. It depends on what you want to do, music style, preferred workflow, ...
 
MuLab & MUX Modular 6.3 have been released.

  • New "Import MIDI File" and "Export MIDI File" functions for individual sequences.
  • Improved Floating Windows Bar.
  • Each VST now memorizes its last bank/program file path.
  • Support for setting exact parameter values via an input dialog.

MuTools released MuLab & MUX Modular Plug-In 6.4.

Highlights:


  • Greatly improved LFO module with fully editable vectorial wave shapes.
  • New "Note Dispatcher" module which dispatches the incoming notes to one of its outputs depending on the mode: Random - Round Robin - Keyed - Key Range.
  • New MIDI Channel Remapper module to remap the 16 MIDI channels to another channel.
  • New One Pole Lowpass module.
  • Renamed the term "Session" to the more familiar term "Project".
  • New Sinc-16 sample interpolation algorithm which sounds much better when transposing samples with lots of trebles.
  • When working with many tracks and audio parts, scrolling, zooming and editing the composer is (much) faster now.
  • Number MIDI inputs and outputs has been doubled from 8 to 16, resulting in up to 256 possible output channels.
