MIDI stopped working on Logic 8, please help!

ok I really need someone's help on this one.

My midi just stopped working all of a sudden, like 5 min. ago. Neither my keyboard nor my MPD will play anything. Is there some button I might have hit that makes midi not even register??

I opened up this other beat and my MIDI works, so I know it is just for this one song. I really don't want to have to quit this beat because I like how it is turning out so if anyone has encountered this problem, where their midi suddenly stops working completely, or if you have any idea how to solve this problem, please be kind and help me out.

save the session, then close Logic and restart it, you may want to un-plug and plug in the midi controllers before restarting Logic. FYI, your midi CONTROLLERS stopped working, not your midi, proper terminology goes a long way in conveying your msg via the internet or any form of communication in general.
