midi recoding reason

:o hello derr, got a prob with reason. cant get it to record my midi signals. i have midi set up fine, i can hear my notes coming thru subtractor, and i have the lil midi icon next to sub. press record then play no joy, a lil help if any1 can be arsed.. cheers ash:cheers:

Wondering could you tell me how you solved that little midi recording problem?

yo, just make sure the midi cable is in the correct ports. then open up reason and look at the top part where it says midi in. press a key on the piano and see what light illuminates. see what number is next to it. then go to midi options and change the midi channel to that number. then when u want to record make sure the little midi icon is next to the name of the instument u want to record on by clicking on it, that advice seems to of helped others. cya
