The Maschine vs. Battery Debate

I just wanted to add that Maschine 2 offers drum synthesis which is not available in Battery 4. They may add this at some point, but Battery is all about triggering samples and providing immediate sound design options to make those samples sound amazing. If you already love your DAWs drum sequencing, then Battery is a great tool. If you want hands-on sequencing, drum pads and some additional methods for generating drum sounds (like synthesis) then Maschine 2 is a great way to work.

One last thing. I'm an advanced user, and of course, this is just my own perception, but.. Battery is far easier to learn and master than Maschine.

I can definitely see Maschine outdoing Akai MPCs sooner or later. The convenience of being able to start a demo on my phone using the iMaschine app while I'm on the road and then throw the entire project into my laptop when I get home is amazing.
