HELP!!! Recycle Won't Work on my New MacBook Pro

I just picked-up a new 2.4 MacBook Pro and it's great.

BUT

Recycle doesn't work!!! The disk just spins and then ejects. Reason worked fine but I just can't seem to get Recycle going.

What do you think???
 
You should be able to go into disk utility and install it from there if the install disc is showing up there. I never had this problem so I can't be 100% about it. I'll check on it when I get home if you haven't figured it out.
 
The disk gets ejected from the drive after a few seconds. I don't know if that is enough time to run the disk utility.

If you could give a step-by-step I'd really appreciate it because this is a real downer.

Can I install it off an external hard drive or flash drive???
