FL Studio Quantize Help

so i was trying to put down a basic melody on my keyboard and set my quantize to 1/4 beat and after i record it's never on beat. so i tried turning the quantize off and played the melody almost exactly on beat, and it plays the notes too early. does anyone know how to fix this?

Install ASIO drivers and set your audio in FL Studio to use them. Make sure your quantize is set for main or 1/4 beat in the piano roll.
