Is fl fruity edition (99$) enough for making hiphop beats?

Anyone with the basic fl version that costs 99$ and manages to make good hiphop beats?
And if so, do yall have a problem with a feature you need and isn't included in this version?

some important features are missing, i think it's missing audio interface connectivity, and its missing a lot of vsts/plugins. if you have drum kits with good sounds and clean free virtual instruments, you can do some stuff for sure. you'll have to discount shop/browse around for free drum kits and sample packs, instruments, etc.

Used to use that a long time before upgrading to producer as an early bday gift.
Functions the same just missed a few stock plugins and you can only paint audio with prod and up in playlist.
all versions of daws work with interfaces

^ cant record external audio in fruity edition, so no interface.
Every edition outputs Audio through any interface, so yes interface. Fruity Edition just lacks recording.
You saying "it's missing audio interface connectivity" would mean that you couldn't use an external USB interface and its low latency ASIO output, what simply isn't true.

lol what's the point of just outputting through an interface? ..lol that doesn't do anything useful. just plug the speakers into your computer. If you can't record analog to digital input, and interface is basically useless.

Shorter latency (the time that passes when you press a key on a MIDI controller until you hear it through your speaker) because of proper ASIO drivers
Better audio quality
Multiple Audio Outs

...just to name a few

lol, alright well when you can't record anything on your xlr microphone, or from a guitar, bass, or a real synth, ...enjoy your multiple audio outs tho (what's the point of sending multiple outs when you can't record multiple ins?). those reasons are not why ppl buy interfaces but okay,

Mixing on external consoles.

those reasons are not why ppl buy interfaces but okay,

Those reasons are actually exactly why people use audio interfaces.

Computers and/or Laptops have finicky 3,5mm mini jacks and more often than not use cheap, noisy DACs.
Plus - proper ASIO drivers for lower latency, like already mentioned

mixing on external consoles...? wtf then why do you have a daw?

im pretty sure the reason ppl buy audio interface is so the new big mumble rapper, Lil' DAC, can record his raps on a microphone. ....not mix on external consoles. but Lil DAC probably uses a USB microphone so it doesn't even matter.

Believe it or not, there are people who have racks and racks of FX. Outboard gear. Those people route the audio tracks of their DAW to mixing consoles to do the mixing

....and then, how do they record? record off of the analog gear? that;s fine, but there's no way that recording is going easily into FL fruity edition. ...or even at all. You can't record audio clips, and you can't drag and drop any audio clips into the playlist.

so you'll have to buy another software DAW to record audio, send the audio out through FL, to your interface, to you external mixing FXs, back into another software DAW to record.... lol what the actual **ck? why..?

or record it off the rack, and that's it. because like i said earlier, FL fruity edition doesnt let you drag and drop audio clips/samples either so you can't do any mixing or mastering on FL when you're done sending the audio to timbuktu and back.

Audio gets recorded in the DAW.
I didn't say it was an easy or sensible solution. Just that that's what people use multiple outputs for.

Another use case is for example, to have two separate audio streams. One for the singer without his own voice on his headphones and another for the one listening to the recording in full.
Or for DJs.... One audio stream goes to the dance floor and another one to his headphones where he can pre-listen the track he is going to mix in next.

but there's no way that recording is going easily into fruity edition of FL.

…aaand we are back on topic. No, there is no direct way with the Fruity Edition.

It's nonsensical with the fruity edition. Yes. For that you need Producer Edition.
But you said that this edition doesn't support audio interfaces, turned your argument to "it is not needed". And when I told you a few reasons why it is needed you started treading on the least important one.

i edited the last post, just a heads up.

homie is asking about making hip hop beats (so i'm assuming recording/producing beats). if you're using fl studio for live performances....uhhhh, okay? ...why

they're actually all not important, for fl studio.

and your other point was latency. Sending audio to timbuktu and back is going to add latency. the more shit you add to the signal flow, the more latency will be added. so, that's for your other point. ...and for your third point, what was it? i dont even care.

If you don't care for audio quality, audio latency,... then not.
It works without an interface, sure. But it makes making music a lot more fun.

But like already said (again) that's not the point. The point is that an audio interface is perfectly usable even with the Fruity edition. To have one or not is for anyone self to decide.

alright here, you can 50% of an audio interface with fl fruity edition. ....but only have 50% makes it useless so.... no audio interface with fl fruity.
