In other words, are there any tracks in Ableton that allow you to play MIDI & audio at the same time (within one track) ((provided that the the Midi Out of your Pro Tools interface is connected to the MIDI in on your keyboard))?

For example, in Pro Tools you can record a MIDI sequence from a keyboard, If you highlight the sequence and press play, Pro Tools will playback the audio, provided that the the Midi Out of your Pro Tools interface is connected to the MIDI in on your keyboard.

Live's External Instrument plugin basically does what you want on a single track. Otherwise you'd need a MIDI track and an audio track to record the output of the synth to.
