Does anyone recognise this message when openeing cubase sx for the 1st time...

An error has been signaled by the Protection Object Server.
>Application 'Cubase SX' has caused the error.
>No Protection Device Connected.

Connect Device and click ok to retry

What device, what do i do? Most confused and in need of advice...

the "device" you are missing is the dongle. it plugs into a USB port and basically prevents the software from being pirated.
if you purchased your copy of cubase SX then it came with a dongle. if you diddn't then go buy a copy cause it ROCKS!!!
