help. stop me from going mad please.
i am having problems with cubase reason rewiring.
i can see from the forums this is a common problem.
i want to run reason through cubase, i have followed all the necessary steps, ; installing cubase first
starting up cubase first
clicking follow background
running the fix patch
setting up rewire in cubase
BUT

every time i try to launch reason after opening cubase, reason wont start. a window pops up saying the reason engine won't start, and that i have to reinstall reason. when i reinstall it the engine looks as if it has been installed properly with the rest of the program.
What is the reason engine?
Is the problem with my copy of cubase or reason (both work fine by themselves)?

As u can tell by my whiney frustrated tone, I'm seriously getting depressed.
I know this has been really long winded, i'm sorry, but could someone please help me. pleeeeaaassseeee

Yes,

You are not the only one. I have the same problem. What are you running? I have A mac g4 OS X.2.2, 1gig RAM, SX ver 1.05, and reason 2.1. I get the same error message after everytime i run rewire. Then i have to reboot the mac to get reason to work again. Jon

I've experienced the same problem with both Cubase SX and Nuendo...

Basically Cubase installs a bogus rewire.dll in the windows system32 folder...all you have to do is install everything and then go to system32 folder and delete the rewire.dll there....(works for me everytime!)
