cubase problems help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just cop a nu p.c and installed my old cubase 32 on it but now when i try to close the program or try to close anything in the program it freezes up i have no clue what the problem is i have tryed installing diffrent cubase programs but they still freeze up i know its not the program cause i use the same cubase in my laptop and my other desk top it must not like the nu p.c if anybody knows or had this problem hook me up its driving me crazy

more details plz: machine specs, OS, soundcard, cubase version......
does cubase run as expected before closing anything?
