cubase or logic

i'm gonna get a mac to do some production. i want to do my own thing my influences are prodigy, daft punk, fatboyslim, chemical bros etc etc

i cant decide wether to get logic or cubase. i want a good quality system capable of running a couple vsti's, absynth, exp24 etc etc and a bit of audio. not bothered about midi at the moment.

cubase seems to be the norm for 'home use' but i am thinking of logic as it seems mac orientated and also i like the big box offer.

what do you guys think?

Well, I own both. I like cubase better, cause like you said it's more "user friendly". But you can definately get the same results out of both. I'm gonna sell logic for 2 reasons. They stopped production on PC (only mac from now on) and I don't need both.
 
I'be used both as well....

I definalty was able to wokr with cubase much faster nad easier... logic seemed to be kinda slow.. It's great once you learn it... but the learning curve is almost vertical... :)

I have PC too... so they no longer develop for me. : /
