When I record to Cool Edit Pro with my sp-303 or dr-202 it only records to the left channel, which I copy to the right channel after recording but it's annoying. Does anyone know why this is happening?
 
just guessing here..... do you have a soundcard with 2 (or more) mono inputs? if so then you should plug in your module into both inputs to get a stereo signal (or set Cool Edit to record in mono).

You want to get a cord with two etches on the tips, one etch is mono only. Then you want to plug it in the head phone jack of your drum machine, then plug the other end in the mic in. If you plug it in the line out of the drum machine, have a one etch tip, or plug it in the the line in slot of the computer you'll only get one mono channel.
