Cd vs Downloading sounds kits and samples?

Is there a difference in quality between downloading sounds from a site like soundcrafters.com, and getting the sounds on a cd. I want to make sure I get the best quality sounds.

an mp3 will always be inferior to a wav file from the same source but with plugins and alil EQing the result will be about the same...

I'd rather have physical copies. And I'd rather have .wav files over .mp3 files.

of all the drums iv downloaded only a few have been mp3. sometimes the mp3s are out of tune when you put them in FL. wav > mp3

Thanks. Does anyone know a good site to buy samples from. I have a huge library of sounds that i have downloaded for free and I can get them to sound good. But alot of them have clicks or there not clean straight of the bat. Im looking to get full sounding kicks and other drum sounds that are completely clean.

i bought my rza, dr dre, an mobb deep cd's off ebay for £5. they are pretty good. the rza one came with shaolin soul which was cool.

if ya drums click try editing it and cutting any space or noise off the start of the sound.

Ive done that for most of them. I find too that they are really low in volume and not full so I end up having to apply a lot of efx to them. I got a small free kit from a site last night and the sounds were so full and warm and I was convinced then I needed new sounds.

The best drums I've ever bought are Smokers Relight. Then a close second is Sonic Specialist Deadly Drums. Other than that I use all free drums.

yo, I got gangs of drums man, literally.... a dope kit, that isn't very expensive at all but high quality is hip hop xxl drums from primeloops, very nice kit man. I think it costs me like 11 bux or somethin lol

Now, if you want to pay more, I can suggest a whole slew of other sites and kits
