ableton arrangement audio clip automation.....help!

so in arrangement view I have a 16 bar audio clip, and I want to automate the preserve (range 0-100) currently I have it at 12, I want to slowly ascend it to 100......for some reason ableton does not let me automate this parameter in arrangement view. I change it to 'beats' and then -> with the arrow underlined.

I guess you're talking about the transient envelope in the "Beats" warp mode. Not an automatable parameter, I'm afraid...I guess you could have a bunch of duplicate clips with increasing values for it.

That's what I'm currently doing, I'm trpilicating the audio loop, with the original decreasing in volume, while audio loop 2, 3 and 4 have different preserve parameters all with fades to make it or more natural. I'm thinking to record it to a new audio loop,therefore, just. Have 1 loop. Thanks
